2024 Topps Chrome Sapphire Garbage Pail Kids jumps further down a trading cards rabbit hole. For the most part, it’s an elevated version of 2024 Topps Chrome GPK, a set that is mostly rooted in 1987’s Original Series 7.
The limited product doesn’t have a big checklist. Despite this, eight-pack hobby boxes still manage to have four serial-numbered parallels.
2024 Topps Chrome Sapphire Garbage Pail Kids Checklist Details
The base set, which is the framework for virtually the entire checklist, has the same 100 cards as 2024 Topps Chrome Garbage Pail Kids. Of that, it’s the sae 84 cards as the original Series 7 that came out 38 years prior.
A couple of things highlight the different between Sapphire and regular Chrome.
For starters, the print run of Sapphire is much smaller. Not surprisingly, boxes and singles tend to cost more. The lower production also allows for a higher concentration of rarer cards.
Then there’s the appearance. Sapphire still has metal-inspired stock and plenty of shine. The difference is the triangular backgrounds that run through the background. Base cards also have blue as the dominant color.

Sapphire Satires are the only other inserts. Exclusive to this version of the product and not in regular 2024 Topps Chrome, these land approximately one per box. Parallels include Gold Refractors, Orange Refractors, Purple Refractors, Red Refractors and one-of-a-kind Padparadscha.
