Retail-exclusives can make for a tricky chase for completists. Not that 2011 Cryptozoic Walking Dead Season 1 trading cards are cheap to begin with, but one particular insert is tough to find. That’s because it was only available with the Season 1 Special Edition Blu-ray, which is now out of print.
Numbered P4, the card shows Rick Grimes at a gas station getting ready to put an end to the Teddy Bear Walker.

Two versions of the Blu-ray have the card: a basic version and a limited edition Collector’s Tin version. Cards are limited to the first 100,000 copies printed. That sounds like a lot but most either stay with the Blu-ray or they get tossed aside like other disc inserts.
A Special Edition DVD was also released at the same time but it didn’t have the promo.
The regular Blu-ray carried a suggested retail of $59.99. The tin, which is now out of print, also has an exclusive NECA zombie mask designed by Greg Nicotero, the series’ make-up artist.
