Star Trek trading cards have a long history in the hobby. The first ones dates back to 1967 when Leaf produced a set of black and white cards. In 1976, Topps did their own and followed it up with a release for Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
In the ensuing years, several companies have held the license to make Star Trek trading cards. In the late 1990s, SkyBox was the first to introduce autographs for the franchise. This has continued on in a big way at Rittenhouse Archives, the manufacturer that currently has the license.
To date, all of the Star Trek TV series and films have trading cards in some fashion.
