Although she’s never been the focus of an entire product, Kim Kardashian trading cards do exist, including some autographs. Actually, most Kim Kardashian cards are autographs.
Before Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim K was more of a socialite than household name celebrity. But as the reality show took hold following its premier in 2007, her fame grew. Today, she’s one of the most recognized and influential people in the world.
Kim Kardashian Trading Cards Overview
Most Kim Kardashian trading cards came out during the early years of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. One could even argue that these early deals only helped build the Kardashian brand, even if they were covering a niche market.
In 2009, Upper Deck included Kim Kardashian cards in three products, two of which were primarily sports cards sets. These rank as her earliest. Over the next couple of years, that number grew as Razor/Leaf worked her into their Pop Century sets.
But after 2011, her trading card appearances have dried up. Likely a couple of things are at play. As the Kardashian empire grew, so did costs to include her. She has also become more busy and trading cards simply might not have been worth her time.
Today, the Kim Kardashian trading cards that do exist have risen in prominence. All of her autographs now sell for hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.
Here’s a breakdown of the key and most valuable Kim Kardashian cards.
Top Kim Kardashian Trading Cards and Autograph Cards
2009 Upper Deck Prominent Cuts Kim Kardashian #26
2009 Upper Deck Prominent Cuts is the traditional set of trading cards to include a Kim Kardashian base card. Therefore, one could make a case for this being the Kim Kardashian rookie card. The product’s checklist is all over the map with athletes from several sports, politicians and other pop culture figures. Kim is joined in the set by sisters Khloe and Kourtney who have their own individual cards.
2009 Upper Deck Spectrum Baseball Spectrum of Stars Autographs Kim Kardashian #KI
Over the span of three years, Upper Deck Spectrum Baseball’s Spectrum of Stars Autographs were among those at the forefront of bringing pop culture autographs to sports card products. They weren’t the only ones but the checklists on these sets cover a lot of ground. Done on foil stock, the 2009 Upper Deck Spectrum Kim Kardashian autograph ranks among her nicest.
In addition to the regular version, there’s a die-cut parallel numbered to 50 that has a pointed top. Given its rarity, some may consider it to be the most valuable of all Kim Kardashian trading cards.
2009 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Football Sweet Spot Icons Kim Kardashian #SSI-KK /55
Any Kim Kardashian autograph card is cool but some might look at this one as being a little strange. Her signature is found on a plastic medallion designed to look like a New Orleans Saints helmet. What do the New Orleans Saints have to do with Kim K? Today, nothing really. But at the time of the set’s release she was in a relationship with running back Reggie Bush.
With just 55 copies and no additional parallels, this card is extremely scarce.
2010 Razor Pop Century Kim Kardashian Autographs
The Pop Century line is best known for its eclectic autograph checklists that cover a broad spectrum of actors, musicians and other personalities. Even the guy who sings in the middle of Time Square in his tighty whities has appeared. Not only does Kim Kardashian appear on the main autograph checklist but she has separate Co-Stars dual autographs with sisters Kourtney and Khloe. The base autograph has Silver (/25) and Gold (/5). The Co-Stars cards are tough as they only have the serial-numbered Silver and Gold levels.
2011 Leaf Pop Century Kim Kardashian Autographs
Razor morphed into Leaf but the Pop Century concept remained the same a year later. 2011 Leaf Pop Century has another batch of Kim Kardashian autographs. In fact, there are a lot more for the second go-around. Here’s a quick list of all the different cards. Besides her base autograph, her signature appears in the Award Winners, Keeping It Real and Stunning Starlets sets. Dressing Room Autographs come with a piece of clothing.
Separate dual autographs can be found with both Kourtney and Khloe once again. There’s also a triple autograph with all three of them.
A variety of parallels are available for each. It’s also worth nothing that Kim’s base autograph, Award Winners, Keeping It Real and Stunning Starlets cards are short prints. Leaf did not release specific print runs for these, though.
2013 Topps Allen & Ginter Oddity Relics Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries Wedding Menu #OR-KHW /50
If the 2009 Sweet Spot Kim Kardashian autograph is a little strange, this card is downright bizarre. Unless part of the Hollywood or basketball elite, the closest you came to Kardashian’s wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries was flipping through tabloids. It turns out their Wolfgang Puck-created wedding menu was turned into a trading card for 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter. Even by the brand’s quirky standards, this one falls under the “Oddity Relics” banner.
Neither Kardashian or Humphries are actually pictured on the card but it probably doesn’t matter.
