When the 2005 Artbox Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Autographs first arrived, the checklist was strong. Over time, the top stars remain popular and a couple others have grown into much bigger careers. The result? One might call it one of the best set of movie autograph cards ever released.
2005 Artbox Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has 12 autographs. Inserted 1:72 packs, they’re not guaranteed in any given box. That said, they’re not ridiculously tough to pull. Supply has largely dried up in the years since, but that’s in large part because of the moderate print run.
The name that jumps out right away is Johnny Depp. As far as international stars go, few are bigger. To date, this is his only signed card. Other notables include Helena Bonham Carter and Christopher Lee.
As the titular star, Freddie Highmore’s card was coveted from the get-go. He has managed to escape child star status with several other meaty roles including young Norman Bates in Bates Motel.
A similar thing has happened with Annasophia Robb’s autograph. At the time she was a supporting star. Now she’s one of Hollywood’s young and respectable stars. This card has really taken off in price since its initial release.
