LOST Trading Cards

LOST trading cards were some of the most popular in the hobby while the show was still on the air. The massive popularity of the show was a huge factor, although the sets themselves had a fair bit to offer.

LOST Trading Cards History

Inkworks kicked the license off in 2005 with their LOST: Season 1 release. It was the biggest product for the now-defunct manufacturer that year. Before going under, they covered the first three seasons plus a spin-off set titled LOST: Revelations.

Rittenhouse was quick to add the show to their portfolio once Inkworks went out of business. They put their own spin on LOST trading cards starting with an anthology-style release covering the first five seasons. They would go on to make two more sets including LOST Relics, a premium product that has three memorabilia cards and an autograph in every pack.

Both Inkworks and Rittenhouse focused heavily on signed cards and costume cards. While the majority of the lead cast signed at least once, there are a couple of major exceptions. Matthew Fox, who played the show’s lead — Jack Shepard, has yet to have a certified autographed trading card. Jorge Garcia (Hurley) is another key cast member without an autograph. Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) never signed for a set of LOST cards but his signature can be found in select Lord of the Rings products.

Among those who have signed LOST cards are Evangeline Lilly (Kate), Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Terry O’Quinn (Locke), Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia), Naveen Andrews (Sayid) and Harold Perrineau (Michael).

In total, there have been six major sets of LOST trading cards plus a couple of smaller promo sets. Of all the sets, 2005 LOST Season 1 has some of the most popular cards. It’s the only set with autographs from Lilly and Holloway. As far as autograph quantity, the later Seasons 1 Thru 5 and Archives sets from Rittenhouse have large checklists.
