2024 Upper Deck X-Men ’97 represents the first trading cards for the animated sequel series. Available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con, the promo set is small but just the sight of Wolverine, Magneto and Jubilee are likely to get the theme song firmly planted in your head for the day.
Each pack has 16 cards — a full 15-card base set plus one parallel.
The main set is character-based, highlighting key mutants and villains from the show. All are drawn in the iconic animated style. Backs offer up a brief bio. So if you’re looking for a recap of the Disney+ series, you won’t find it. But if you simply want exclusive cards from specific characters, then that’s what you’ll find.
Two levels of parallels are available. Basic Pattern Foil Board are the most common, landing approximately one per pack. Gold Pattern Foil Board are 1:6 packs. These are easy to spot with their dots and lines running through the background.
