2024 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Dressed to Grotesque puts a fashion twist on the iconic line. Although it was available exclusively through the company’s website, the checklist is closer to a hobby configuration versus the many mini sets they’ve done. Besides a sizeable base set, there’s an assortment of chase cards — including the promise of one sketch card per box.
2024 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Dressed to Grotesque Checklist Details
The base set has 60 total cards — 30 different A-B name combinations. For the most part, characters come from the Original Series, reimagined with fashion trends in mind. The final part of the set brings in a pop culture spin, spoofing a handful of celebrities known for making headlines for what they wear. Zendaya and Lady Gaga are among those poked fun at.
Parallels come in just two limited levels, Slime Green (#’ed/25) and one-of-one Hex Fractors. They combine with Relics to land one per box.
Speaking of Relics, these obviously aren’t real memorabilia cards. Rather, they take the featured character and add a piece of fabric that would have been used for their outfit if Garbage Pail Kids were actually real (sorry, the 1987 movie isn’t a documentary).
The famous faces from the base set appear again in the one-per-box Celebrity Wrappers insert set.
Other inserts include C Name Variations and Character Variations.
Sketch cards, one of the box hits, come from a list of 30 artists.
