2024 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel takes something familiar and gives it a bit of a twist. While the appearance and checklists overlap with the year’s original Topps Chrome Marvel release, this one gets a bit of a different look. There’s also an added level of rarity that gives it more of a premium appeal and value.
Hobby boxes are small with just eight packs. Within those packs are four parallels numbered to 99 and under.
2024 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel Checklist Details
The 2024 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel bas set has 150 cards. It’s the same 150 found in Topps Chrome Marvel using the same general design. From a visual perspective, what makes Sapphire Sapphire is the blue borders for the base set and background pattern that looks like pieces of broken glass.
The shards carry over to the parallels:
- Green Sapphire – #’ed/99
- Yellow Sapphire – #’ed/75
- Gold Sapphire – #’ed/50
- Orange Sapphire – #’ed/25
- Black Sapphire – #’ed/10
- Red Sapphire – #’ed/5
- Papradascha Sapphire – 1/1
A couple of other elements make the jump over from Topps Chrome.
The first is Comic Creator Artist Autographs. Numbered to 50 or fewer, eight creators are featured on the checklist. Frank Miller headlines with Andy and Adam Kubert, and Ryan Ottley among the others.
Marvel Character Autographs aren’t real signatures from top heroes and villains — obviously. The are meant to mimic the concept with facsimile signatures. They’re also extremely scarce with print runs of ten or less, five and under for duals.
Wolverine 50th Anniversary is another port over from standard Topps Chrome. Base versions for these are actually more common than the originals, which have just ten copies each.
