2024 Topps Baseball Home Field Advantage marks the third year for the insert set. Highlighting top players alongside local landmarks, it’s pretty obvious that the cards are inspired by Panini’s long-running Downtown inserts. However, this year Topps changed up the approach slightly to make Home Field Advantage more distinct.
The set has ten cards, all of which are top hobby standouts like Mike Trout, Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jr. Elly De La Cruz is the lone rookie and, at the time of 2024 Topps Series 1’s release, the most valuable card.
Landing 1:228 packs, 2024 Topps Home Field Advantage cards are tough pulls but they’re not rare. Coming from the biggest line in the hobby, there’s a lot of Topps Baseball made each year. So if you’re going to try for them going the pack ripping route, it’s tough. But if you simply opt for the secondary market they’re not overly expensive. More than most 2024 Topps Baseball inserts but you can land even top players for the price of a handful of packs.
For the first couple of years, Home Field Advantage cards went heavy on the landmarks and used images that often felt like high-end clip art. 2024 inserts are a little more classy. For starters, there are two player photos now, one action shot and a portrait. They’re joined by a ballpark image, either a skyline or a significant piece of local architecture, and another local symbol. With the tweaks, the overall product this has a more serious tone than campy. It also puts some distance from Downtown.

2024 Topps Legendary Home Field Advantage
2024 Topps Baseball has a separate run of Legendary Home Field Advantage cards. These carry the same design but have retired superstars instead of current ones.
They’re also legitimately scarce and some of the most valuable cards available in 2024 Topps Baseball.
The checklist consists of five cards, all of whom are Hall of Famers. They include Yogi Berra, Bob Gibson and Johnny Bench.
2024 Topps Legendary Home Field Advantage cards are 1:46,722 hobby packs and 1:15,512 jumbo packs. They’re also available in retail packs at similar extremely long rates. So while you might find dozens of any given current player’s HFA card on eBay, Legenday players might only have one or two — if that.
