2024 Donruss Football Downtown inserts head back to the bright lights of the big city. This time Panini took the concept of the big city to heart with the addition of oversized versions to join the regular ones.
The 2024 Donruss Football Downtown checklist has 21 cards. It’s a mix of current superstars, a handful of Hall of Famers and some of the season’s top rookies. Highlights include Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Brock Purdy, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and J.J. McCarthy.
Although odds are not known, Downtown cards are typically treated like case hits. Compared to a lot of the other inserts in 2024 Donruss Football, they’re significantly harder to pull. But the product’s overall print run is one of the bigger ones of the season. As a result, they’re not exactly scarce.
But that doesn’t stop 2024 Donruss Downtown cards from being quite valuable. Even raw copies of lesser players typically sell for a couple hundred dollars. High-grade copies of key superstars can top $1,000.
A big change this year is the addition of Oversized Downtown cards. The same 21 cards have 5 x 7 versions that were exclusive to 2024 Donruss Football Costco bundles. Similar to the jumbo cards found in many Pokémon gift sets, they’re packaged alongside regular packs. Here, the Downtown cards come in their own packs.
The Oversized Downtown cards are not nearly as valuable. With one per bundle, they’re not rare. And it’s Costco, a place where products — including football cards — are rolled out by the pallet.
2024 marks the seventh year for the massively popular inserts.

The 2024 Donruss Football Costco bundles arrived a couple of months before product got its main hobby and retail releases. If this year is like 2023, there will be more Downtown inserts to come. Panini did some additional hobby-exclusive cards for the Super Bowl and International games.
Whether these are returning is not yet known.
