2023 Cardsmiths Street Fighter trading cards bring the classic video game franchise into the modern era of the hobby. While there might not be any autographs or memorabilia cards, there are plenty of elements that offer tough odds and small print runs.
2023 Cardsmiths Street Fighter Checklist Details
The base set is a somewhat modest 52 cards and is entirely character drive. The last time the Street Fighter video game got a mainstream set of trading cards, arcades were still a thing. This means plenty of updates, both with newer characters from the franchise and more detailed artwork.
Another major part of the product’s modernity is the introduction of a large rainbow of parallels. These are essentially chase versions of base cards that use a variety of colors, backgrounds and smaller print runs all the way down to one-of-ones. They include:
- Rainbow Holofoil – 1 per pack
- Hyperwave – 1:2 packs
- Amethyst Gemstones – /49
- Ruby Gemstones – /25
- Gold Gemstones – /10
- Sapphire Gemstones – /5
- Onyx Gemstones – 1/1
All Gemstones combine to land 1:13 packs.
In addition to these, Green, Green Holofoil and Aquamarine Gemstones (/15) parallels are also available. However, these are exclusive to special packs sold at conventions.
The 2023 Cardsmiths Street Fighter checklist has a few other standalone insert sets. The rarest of the bunch is Culture Shokz, which has a busy look reminiscent a little of Panini’s Kaboom! cards. Seven cards make up the checklist with one landing every 96 packs.
Also tough is Meta Rare, which is 1:64 packs.
Other inserts include Power Moves, Stages, Versus, Swimsuit and a single-card Pro Tour Card. Versus and Swimsuit also get the Holofoil treatment for a pair of chase parallels.
