2016 Breygent Dexter Seasons 7 and 8, the show’s trading card finale, fares much better than the finale that actually aired on television. Opting for a premium factory set approach, the checklist includes a deep list of autographs and memorabilia cards. Other inserts and a standard base set help round things out.
Each sealed factory set includes six total autographs and costume cards.
2016 Breygent Dexter Seasons 7 and 8 Checklist Details
The 72-card base set covers all 24 episodes of Dexter’s final two seasons, which aired in 2012 and 2013. The bookend for the show, the cards also complete Breygent’s run that began in 2009 with their Seasons 1 and 2 release.
Each factory set includes a Red parallel. Although not numbered, with a production run of just 70 ten-box cases, that doesn’t leave a lot of copies for individual cards. Stamped One-of-One and Printing Plate parallels are also part of the product.
Autographs, Costume Cards and Other Inserts
As has been the case with all of Breygent’s Dexter sets, autographs are the key chase. The main checklist has just five signers with four of those signing two different cards. Leading the way is Chuck and The Handmaid’s Tale co-star Yvonne Strahovski. Charlotte Rampling, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2016, also has autographs.
Also on the 2016 Breygent Dexter Seasons 7 and 8 checklist are three Autograph Costume cards and a Dual Autograph with Strahovski and lead star Michael C. Hall. The Dual uses stickers rather than being on-card like everything else in boxes.
Wrapping up the signatures are two Jumbo Autograph Costume cards. Given their oversized nature, they aren’t in sealed sets. Rather, the cards were offered on their own through a mail-in offer. Featuring Hall and Geoff Pierson (Tom Matthews), both are numbered to 50.
In addition to 26 standard Costume Cards, the checklist has five Dual and one Triple Costume Card. Multi-swatch cards highlight different pieces from the same character.
The 2016 Breygent Dexter Seasons 7 and 8 checklist has three additional insert sets: Dexter’s Justice, Quotes, and Friends or Foe. All have nine cards and land two per set. These also have Red parallels numbered to 5 and stamped one-of-ones.
