2014 Cryptozoic Adventure Time Playpaks aim for fun and, well, play, over the more modern and comprehensive approach that the company’s other set for the show takes. You won’t find any autographs or sketch cards in Playpaks but you can get stickers and tattoos.
Obviously, there isn’t the same level of collectibility with these. However, despite its simple structure, finding cards isn’t the easiest today.
2014 Cryptozoic Adventure Time Playpaks Checklist Details
The base set is very small. Just 18 cards make up the checklist. All are focused on characters. The simplicity shows here with a lack of parallels. It’s just the two pages of binder sheets and you’re done.
Packs have three inserts. First up are one Princess Glitter and one Sticker. Both of these have nine cards. Scratch ‘n Sniff, Temporary Tattoos and Standees have just three cards each. These combine to make up the final card in each pack.
What the overall checklist lacks in premium chase items, it makes up for in interactivity. Plus, it’s rare for a modern trading card product to offer a decent shot at putting together a master set on a relatively tight budget.
Since this set’s release, Cryptozoic has done two additional sets of Adventure Time Playpaks, the most recent coming out in fall, 2024.
