When it comes to niche modern Marvel trading card sets, 2013 Rittenhouse Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos 50th Anniversary ranks up there. Done with a premium pack format, it means lots of sketch cards. It also means a simplified checklist that doesn’t have a lot on it. But it’s still something for fans of the war comic and an alternative to the many more traditional superhero releases.
2013 Rittenhouse Sgt. Fury Checklist Details
The base set has just 30 cards. It’s a chronological recap of the first 30 issues with a panel illustration on the front and a synopsis and cover on the back. Three base cards are in every pack.
SketchaFEX Sketch Cards are in every pack. For many casual Marvel fans, many of the characters may not be overly familiar. However, with Sgt. Fury’s connection to the likes of Captain America, it isn’t the case with all of them. Over 60 artists contributed to the set.
The only other cards on the checklist are nine Character inserts, which also land one per pack.
Just 99 boxes of 2013 Rittenhouse Sgt. Fury were produced.
