2013 Cryptozoic Psych Seasons 1-4 is one of the sets of trading cards where you don’t have to be a fan of the show to appreciate it. Of course, that certainly helps. But the autographs in particular have reach beyond with some notable names known for other roles on TV or at the movies.
2013 Cryptozoic Psych Seasons 1-4 Checklist Details
With just 68 cards to cover four seasons worth of episodes, the base set takes more of a flyover approach, hitting on memorable moments and then moving on. Facial reactions, odd costumes and weird situations are all highlights of the base set from a visual perspective.
Autographs are the key part of 2013 Cryptozoic Psych Seasons 1-4’s appeal. Landing one per box, the checklist has just 11 signers but the vast majority can be considered notable for either being from a lead star or someone with key roles outside of the show.
This starts with Dulé Hill and James Roday, Psych‘s two leads. For collectors who might not know much about the show, there’s still Rachel Leigh Cook (She’s All That), Jaleel White (who played Steve Urkel on Family Matters), Star Trek‘s George Takei, action standout Robert Patrick and Ally Sheedy, an icon of the ’80s who appears in The Breakfast Club, Short Circuit and more. For Cook and White, this set marks their first certified autograph cards.
Wardrobe cards featuring pieces of costumes are the second hit of every 2013 Cryptozoic Psych Seasons 1-4 box. Twenty-one single-swatch cards are available in packs with another one that’s exclusive to the set’s binder. Five Dual Wardrobe cards are also available with one landing approximately every four boxes. All memorabilia cards feature either leads or key supporting characters.
Other insert sets include Psychic Moments, Undercover and Henry’s Wisdom. All three have nine cards and carry 1:12 pack odds.
