2011 Topps Baseball Diamond Sparkle Variations aren’t the easiest things to spot. In fact, they can be downright tough. A nod to Topps’ 60th anniversary in the sport, the short print variations have a small star-like twinkle added somewhere on the card — often in a spot where there’s already a lot of white.
Although odds were never officially released, it’s believed that 2011 Topps Diamond Sparkle Variations are inserted approximately one per case.
2011 Topps Series 2 Baseball has three Double Sparkle Variations: Evan Longoria, Tim Lincecum and Jason Heyward. These were intended to be used as a bounty-style promotion where the first person to get all three would receive a bat signed by several players.
