Growing up, I loved book orders. Actually, as an adult I don’t mind browsing through them too (although Amazon’s cheaper prices have wrecked some of the fun). You need to look close at the insets and bubbles as sometimes there are fun extras — like Captain Underpants trading cards.
In 2011, Scholastic bundled a set of Captain Underpants books with 12 trading cards showcasing lead characters and creative villains. The final two spots are reserved for Ook and Gluk, author Dav Pilkey’s later creations.
Card fronts have a colorful and heroic image of the featured character. Backs have abbreviated bios as well as the book in which they first appear.
