2011 Artbox Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trading cards mark the end of the massive film franchise. The set also wraps up Artbox’s successful run with the license. That said, it’s a step backwards when you compare it to the many other products they released for other films before it.
This starts with the base set. Rather than the traditional 90 cards, it’s limited to just 54. However, the blame for the shrunken size may not be because of Artbox. More likely is the limitations they had as far as spoilers go, especially given the fact this was the conclusion of everything.
2011 Artbox Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Autographs and Chase Cards
Autographs are the primary chase. Inserted 1:27 packs, it’s also the best odds for one from a Harry Potter product. Cards come with a pair of designs. The main one changes things up but they’re still similar to previous sets. Emma Watson is the only one of the “big three” included on the checklist. Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon and John Hurt are also included.
Nine additional autographs are done in a puzzle format. Fronts don’t have images of the actors. Rather, you need them all to make a large graphic of the Harry Potter title with Hogwarts in the background.
Unlike other sets of Harry Potter trading cards from Artbox, Deathly Hallows Part 2 doesn’t have any costume or prop cards. Originally, the card maker said they were going to included them in a followup release. That never happened.
Cinema FilmCards return. Numbered to just over 200 copies each, these have a pair of cels from a print of the film embedded in them.
Other inserts include nine Foil cards, nine Clear cards printed on acetate and a nine-card Puzzle with Harry on one side and Voldemort on the other.
A total of 400 cases of 2011 Artbox Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trading cards were produced.
