2010 Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1 Thru 5 trading cards marked a new beginning for the line. With Inkworks out of the picture, the once mighty license was up for grabs. And while there had been a couple of years since Inkworks released their last LOST set, the demand was still there.
Rather than picking up from where the last set left off with season three, Rittenhouse went back to the beginning to offer their own take on the line. The base set may breeze through the complex story arcs but it did leave plenty of room for lots of autographs and new inserts.
The base set does have 108 cards, which is actually quite large compared to a lot of other entertainment trading card sets. However, they’re usually covering just one season. The checklist focuses exclusively on episodes.
2010 Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1 Thru 5 Autographs
Each 2010 Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1 Thru 5 box has three signed cards. This makes for a deep checklist of well over 30 signers. There aren’t a lot of lead cast members but there are some big ones. The top autograph in the set belongs to Michelle Rodriguez. Her spot on the show didn’t last too long, but she’s also known for many roles outside of LOST include the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Other key autographs include Terry O’Quinn, Michael Emerson, Yunjin Quin, Harold Perrineau and Henry Ian Cusick.
The toughest autographs in the product weren’t in packs. They weren’t incentives either. Sterling Beaumon and Francois Chau each have cards that were produced exclusively for a signing at Disney’s D23 convention.
Rather than have character cards in the base set, they’re done as inserts in LOST Stars ArtiFEX. The art-styled cards are done on canvas-like stock and done to look like painted images. A total of 25 cards are inserted in packs at a rate of 1:6 packs. A26 exists but it was only available through the Rittenhouse Rewards program.
Additional Inserts
Other insert sets include The Oceanic Six (six cards, 1:24) and LOST In Motion lenticular cards (nine cards, 1:12 packs). There’s also four Flash Forward Preview cards, presumably in anticipation of a possible product for the show. However, when Flash Forward didn’t last, that set of cards never came to be.
2010 Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1 Thru 5 has a print run of 5,000 numbered boxes.
