2010 Rittenhouse Heroes Archives released after the show’s demise. For those who enjoyed the show, it doesn’t matter. It focuses largely on the characters and their connections to one another. This also reaches to the autographs where the checklist is much bigger than the Heroes trading cards produced earlier by Topps.
Running 72 cards, the base set is dedicated entirely to characters. While previous sets had character bios, they focused much more heavily on episode recaps. Rittenhouse delves deep into the cast list, spotlight both major and minor characters.
Autographs were tough pulls in the two sets of Topps Heroes trading cards. They used stickers too. 2010 Rittenhouse Heroes Archives changes both of these. For starters, all the signatures are signed on-card. They’re also easy to pull at 1:4 packs. Key characters are, for the most part, short prints.
On top of these, three are some autographs that aren’t found in regular packs. A handful of variants are exclusive to Archive Boxes. Also, one of the Dawn Olivieri cards (she has two different ones), Star Trek-veteran George Takei, and Eric Roberts were distributed as case incentives.
In addition to the six autographs, 2010 Rittenhouse Heroes Archives boxes also have a Relic Card. These have swatches of show-worn costumes or props embedded in them.
Other basic inserts include Quotable Heroes and Heroes Generations, which looks at familial ties between characters.
A total of 4,500 2010 Rittenhouse Heroes Archives boxes were produced.
