2009 Enterplay Mario Kart Wii takes the top-selling racing video game franchise for a spin around the trading card track. Like a lot of the company’s products, the focus is on fun. And while there are no long chases, the distribution has made some aspects relatively tough to complete today.
2009 Enterplay Mario Kart Wii Checklist Details
The main set has 90 total cards. But within that, there are several subsets that explore different aspects of the juggernaut game. It starts with 24 Drivers, highlighting the different characters who are going to hurl blue shells at you should you get to the front of the pack. The checklist includes several Nintendo icons including Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Peach.
Other subsets include Items, Karts, Cups, Tracks, and Tips and Trivia. They actually cover a lot of ground as far as gameplay. They provide details on not only what the items and tracks do but info on how to unlock them.
All of the Driver cards get the foil treatment for a series of parallels. These and 12 Deluxe Stickers combine to land one per pack.
A dozen FunTats (temporary tattoos) round out the checklist. Packs also have one of these.
