The 2009 Breygent Dexter San Diego Comic-Con card set is a mix of things from the main Seasons 1 and 2 set, some that are new and others still that are both.
Packaged as a premium box set, it starts off with the 72-card Seasons 1 and 2 base set. There’s nothing different about them.
Costume cards are inserted at a rate of two per set. Three of these are entirely new and not part of the full release. The final one is a patch variation of a Debra Morgan uniform card from Seasons 1 and 2. Limited to just 15 copies, it’s the rarest card of the 2009 Breygent Dexter San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.
Randomly inserted in select sets is a Prop card featuring a hot key. Only 18 copies of these were produced.
Each set also has a sketch card. Charles Hall, David Desbois and Steven Miller are among the seven artists contributing to the release.
Rounding out the SDCC-exclusive set is one card from each of the seven Seasons 1 and 2 basic insert sets. These are parallels of the main version with red foil highlights differentiating them from the original ones.
A total of 400 sets were produced.
