Archie Andrews might be part of one of the most prolific comic book histories of all-time but his place on the trading card side of things is much more limited. 2009 5finity Archie March of Dimes Sketch Cards marked new territory for the king of the Double Digest.
As the set name suggests, everything is a sketch card. That is, every card in the product run has original art drawn directly on it. With a large checklist of participating artists, lots of different styles are present. Archie’s friends and Riverdale rivals are also in the mix.
A premium product, each pack has just one card. Unless it was one of 30 hot packs with two or three sketch cards.
2009 5finity Archie March of Dimes Sketch Cards have a few chase elements. Mirage Studios cards go from Riverdale to the sewers, featuring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Autographed Sketch Cards are signed by people connected with the Archie animated shows. Various other incentives and limited inserts can also be found.
A total of 1,199 packs produced. Proceeds from original sales went to March of Dimes.
