Although the main Spider-Man 3 card set features a loaded autograph checklist, there are still a lot of gaps in the product as a whole. A pair of 2008 Rittenhouse Spider-Man 3 Expansion sets fill in some of those gaps while also adding more premium elements.
Each expansion set was sold separately and had its own mix of cards. The first is limited to 225 copies and is highlighted by a new Tobey Maguire autograph. For the initial release, he signed a Spider-Man card. Here, it’s as Peter Parker.
The Peter Parker theme continues onto a pair of costume cards, one with a shirt and another with a swatch of pants.
2008 Rittenhouse Spider-Man 3 Expansion Set B is more plentiful at 600 copies. It leads off with 11 new base cards that include somer spoilery images that weren’t available in time for the main release. It fleshes out the story a little more and offers a deeper look behind the camera.
Expansion Set B also has a pair of Lenticular cards that show Spider-Man in action.
Finally, there are two Prop cards. The first has a coin from the movie’s bank heist scene with Sandman. The other uses a piece of a money bag.
