2007 Rittenhouse Complete Star Trek Movies takes a deep dive into the first ten films to spin out of the franchise. And while the release stands on its own, it does borrow some ideas from the season SkyBox sets from the original series.
At 90 cards, the base set breaks down perfectly for those who like to put their sets in pages. Each of the ten films is summarized through nine cards.
Autographs and Memorabilia Cards
Autographs are the major insert. The combine to land two per box. Nearly 40 signers are available in packs including Ricardo Montalban, Christopher Lloyd, Malcolm McDowell and Oscar nominee F. Murray Abraham. Original cast members include George Takei and Walter Koenig. Williams Shatner autographs are also part of the product, however they’re limited to being six-case incentives.
The autograph design is based on the one started back in the late 1990s with the three SkyBox TOS seasonal sets.
Each box of 2007 Rittenhouse Complete Star Trek Movies also has a pair of costume cards. These include pieces of wardrobe used in the production of the various films going all the way back to Star Trek: The Motion Picture. All costume cards are numbered to either 701, 1501 or 1701 copies.
Additional memorabilia cards are available in the form of Camp Khitomer Banners from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. These are inserted 1:120 packs and come serial numbered to 575 copies.
Additional Inserts
Gold Plaque, Character Log, Behind the Scenes and Profiles cards also have their roots in the SkyBox sets. Each of the ten films has a card in these insert set, which offer a more focused look at specific elements. For the SkyBox sets, each episode was featured.
Other inserts include ten lenticular In Motion cards and ten Plot Synopses cards.
A total of 10,000 2007 Rittenhouse Complete Star Trek Movies boxes were produced.
