Carrying on and expanding from where the Complete BSG left off, 2006 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica: Colonial Warriors takes a more character-driven approach to the original series. It’s complimented by a variety of inserts, many of which are tough to find now.
2006 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica: Colonial Warriors Checklist Details
The base set has 72 cards. Rather than recapping episodes and storylines, it’s dedicated to the various characters in the show. Leads Starbuck and Apollo each have nine cards. Other key characters have as many as six spots on the checklist.
Each box of 2006 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica: Colonial Warriors comes with both an autograph and a costume card. Autographs are limited to no more than 300 copies each. Top signers include Jane Seymour, Britt Ekland and series creator Glen A. Larson.
There are also four Autographed Costume cards that are each numbered to 250. These use signatures from actors who signed for the Complete BSG like Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch.
Among the basic inserts is a 54-card Expansion set that’s based on the 1978 Topps Battlestar Galactica trading cards. Although they’re inserted 1:8 packs, the set’s size and connection to a popular set from the past have made them difficult to find.
Other inserts 2006 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica: Colonial Warriors include Casting Call, which use black and white portraits and ArtiFEX, an art-driven set by Chris Scalf. Late actors Lorne Greene and John Colicos have special Tribute cards that are numbered to 199.
