Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adian Brody — Peter Jackson’s take on King Kong is loaded with A-list Hollywood stars. You’re just not going to find them on the 2005 Topps King Kong Autographs checklist. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a couple of decent signatures, but it’s still a set where it’s hard not to wonder, “What if?”
Inserted 1:24 packs, each hobby box of 2005 Topps King Kong should have an autograph. They’re not in retail packs so be careful you’re getting the right thing if you’re chasing these by ripping packs and not directly off the secondary market.
As far as name recognition goes, the top card in the set is Jamie Bell who plays Jimmy in the film. Landing 1:239 packs, it’s also the hardest autograph to find.
Fans of the Friday Night Lights TV show will likely be interested in the inclusion of Kyle Chandler. He played Coach Taylor on the show. Chandler has seen his stock rise significantly since FNL wrapped up.
