The 2005 Inkworks Lost Season 1 Autographs are the first signed trading cards for the series. And even with several sets that came after it, this is, in regards of star power, the strongest.
Combining to land 1:36 Season 1 packs, the set has 12 basic autographs and three Autographed Pieceworks that also come with a small piece of a show-worn costume.
Leading the 2005 Inkworks Lost Season 1 Autographs checklist are Evangeline Lilly (Kate) and Josh Holloway (Sawyer), two of the top three stars in the series. These two, along with Maggie Grace, have both regular autographs and Autographed Pieceworks. All six of these cards are redemptions. With Inkworks out of business and the Lost trading cards license having moved on, there’s no hope of getting these cards in packs outside of the IOUs.
Lilly, Holloway and Grace do not have autographs in any other Lost sets.
It’s also worth noting that Daniel Roebuck inscribed some of his cards, although his basic signed cards are the most common.
Inkworks would continue to make autographs a focal point in their other Lost sets. Rittenhouse would do the same when they took over the license a few years later.
