The 2004 Topps Stars Wars Heritage promo cards were the first to have images from all six of the saga’s films. Like the set it promotes, they draw from an iconic hobby past. However, not all of the promos are as easy to find as others, which has led to some big secondary market prices.
2004 Topps Star Wars Heritage has six different promo cards, one for each film from the original trilogy and the three prequels. Each film has one card, which is noted by the image and the caption on the front. When the cards came out, Episode III hadn’t been given the Revenge of the Sith subtitle.
The promo cards use the design of the original Star Wars, Empire Strike Backs and Return of the Jedi trading cards. Prequels are paired up with the corresponding spot in the original trilogy.
Most of the 2004 Topps Star Wars Heritage promo cards are fairly easy to find. However, there are a couple of exceptions. P1, which was included in Star Wars Insider magazine, is one of the harder ones to find. However, it’s P2, a card given away for a limited time with orders from the online Star Wars shop, that’s a genuine rarity. The card can sell for $30 and up today.
Here’s a gallery of all six of the promos. You can click on the links to shop for the card you’re looking for or to check current market values on eBay.
