When you compare it to the many other sets out there for the show, 2004 Inkworks LOST Preview isn’t fancy or sexy. But that’s the point. Its purpose was to get dealers and collectors ready for what was to come, introducing the series’ characters to the medium and saving the autographs, memorabilia cards and other chase elements for the mainstream releases.
Consisting of 15 cards, sets came packaged as a complete whole inside a cello pack. It starts with a title card before moving into something entirely character-driven. LOST’s ensemble approach works out nicely as even the secondary characters featured here have significant parts in the show’s first season.
Inkworks LOST Season 1, the first full set for the show, followed in November, 2005.
