2002 Rittenhouse Muppet Show 25th Anniversary is the first time the show has had a mainstream set of trading cards since the early 1990s. Issued as a factory set, it focuses entirely on the Jim Henson creations. Each card is a biography of sorts for the featured creature.
These are the highest quality Muppet trading cards produced to date. The have a glossy finish to give them a modern look and feel. Images come primarily direct from episodes of the show save for a couple of publicity stills.
Due to the factory set format, it’s not very common to find singles. That shouldn’t be too bad, though as sets aren’t very expensive. The card set arrived with little fanfare. As a result, it’s not very well known. One could definitely categorize it as overlooked.
