2000 Rittenhouse Twilight Zone: The Next Dimension is the second of five products the card maker produced for the classic anthology series. Like the others, the deep autograph checklist is what most collectors pay attention to.
The 72-card base set is a highlight of specific episodes. Twelve are highlighted, each with six cards. The numbering continues on from the previous year’s Premiere Edition releases. Autographs are inserted two per box. William Shatner and Burt Reynolds are two of the headliners but there are several other notables including Don Rickles, Buddy Ebsen and Jack Klugman. Fans of The Dukes of Hazzard will find the lone James Best autograph card in the product. He played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on the hit show.
Twilight Zone Stars carries on from the first set. Nine more cards are added to the checklist.
The show’s creator and host, Rod Serling, is featured in a three-card set. He’s also the subject of the Twilight Zone Hall of Fame case topper card, which is numbered to 777 copies.
According to the card maker, 2000 Rittenhouse Twilight Zone: The Next Dimension had a print run of 8,000 total boxes.
