The original Lost in Space TV show was equal parts serious and goofy. For the 1998 big screen reimagining, things got a little more heavy. And with a cast the included Matt LeBlanc, Gary Oldman, Heather Graham, William Hurt, Mimi Rogers and Lacey Chabert, you can see why Inkworks would want the Lost in Space trading card license. However, once the set came out, the 1998 Inkworks Lost in Space Movie Autographs checklist wasn’t as strong as most would hope. It’s solid but it lacks that guy from Friends.
The set has just three cards. Today, Lacey Chabert commands the most attention and highest prices. The former Party of Five actress hasn’t been in many big movies since outside of Mean Girls, yet the card can still top $100.
Mimi Rogers is another fairly well known actress. That said it has been a long time since she was a big theatrical draw.
The Lost in Space Movie Autographs set is rounded out by Jack Johnson. And it’s not the same Jack Johnson who has millions of records.
The secondary market is the only place to find these autographs now. All three were inserted in packs as redemptions.
