1997 Fleer/SkyBox Marvel vs. Wildstorm marks the second major set of trading cards that saw Marvel heroes and villains corossover into another comics universe. Today, Wildstorm comics have joined DC and don’t have quite the impact now as they did in the 1990s, but the mash-up approach is still fun with lots of familiar faces.
1997 Fleer/SkyBox Marvel vs. Wildstorm Checklist Details
The excitement of the 90-card base set is the fact that characters from two different comic universes are together in a mainstream release. It’s similar in that regard to 1995 Fleer SkyBox DC Versus Marvel. The checklist has a variety of subsets that sort characters into good and evil as well as comparable teams. Of course, there are some battle-specific cards as well.
All 90 cards have Refractor parallels that are done on bright chromium stock. Although they land every other pack, the size of the set makes these some of the toughest singles to track down.

Eight OverPower cards (1:6 packs) allow collectors to add Wildstorm characters to their decks for the trading card game. These are done on holochrome stock.
ClearChrome has metallic looking art done on acetate. Nine cards make up the set with one landing every six packs.
