1992 Topps Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III trading cards showcase the final film in the live action trilogy. By this time, Turtle Fever was breaking and the franchise’s initial popularity was past its peak. This meant a somewhat subdued response to the movie and, apparently, not a lot of initial interest from dealers for the cards. That means today that it’s easily the toughest of Topps movie-based TMNT sets to find. In turn, they’re also the most valuable.

The majority of the 88-card base set is, not surprisingly, focuses on the movie with a handful of character cards at the front of the checklist and plenty of other on-screen moments after. While the story might not be great, the time-traveling plot makes for interesting turtle costumes and the standard cards look solid.
Things are elevated more with the final dozen base cards. Part of a Gallery subset, these set artists and creators loose to create their own pieces based on the movie.
Stickers are one per pack. A basic set has 11 cards. However, each has two different puzzle piece variations on the back so a master set includes 22 stickers.
1992 Topps Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III is not an easy set to find today. Not only was the popularity of the franchise falling, but so were trading cards in general. Production runs were noticeably smaller than just a couple of years earlier when Topps released a set for the original Ninja Turtles movie. That rarity, though, has fuelled prices in the years since as collectors go back to track down the tougher pieces that may have originally escaped their stashes.
The cards carry a 1992 copyright on the back despite the film itself not coming out until March, 1993.
