Non-Sport Update Offers Borders Shoppers Cheap Subscriptions
While some might think of Borders book sellers closing is a way to get some cheap books and further justify paying lower prices online with the likes of Amazon, there is a side effect for publishers. They're losing an outlet with which to sell their products. While books might have an easier go of it online, it's still a little trickier for magazines, especially ones with readerships measured in the thousands and not the millions.
Non-Sport Update Magazine is offering 50 percent off one-year subscriptions for American customers who relied on the bankrupt seller for their issues. That brings the price for six issues down to $14.
To take advantage of the offer, new subscribers can go here and place an offer. They can then email a scan of the back of their Borders Rewards card to confirm. For those who prefer to order by mail, the info page also provides details on how to take advantage of the offer.
(Note: Although I write for NSU, I am simply passing along the information to collectors.)
