Comic Book Legal Defense Fund Liberty Card Set Brings Big-Time Creator Autographs
Some of the biggest names in comics are throwing their signatures into Cryptozoic's upcoming CBLDF Liberty card set. Neil Gaiman, Jeff Smith, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and The Goon's Eric Powell are all part of Cryptozoic's announcement.
CBLDF Liberty will chart the history of censorship in comics and the industry's legal issues with free speech. Given the number of comic-themed sets put out over the years, this alone gives the set a fresh feel.
Besides a 72-card base set and the autographs, CBLDF Liberty will also include sketch cards and a couple of insert sets. Cryptozoic has scheduled the set to be out in July. Proceeds from sales will go toward the CBDLF.
